The three books
The how, the what and the where
The Milo and June books are gentle picture books that share three big ideas from the old tradition of astrology, one book at a time. In Book 1 the children meet the twelve zodiac signs — the how. In Book 2 they meet the Sun, the Moon and the eight planets — the what. In Book 3 they explore the twelve houses of a birth chart as rooms in a round Sky House — the where.
Each book is for ages 5 and up: from 5 to 8, children read along with a grown-up, and from 8 they can read on their own. Chapters are short — one friend, planet or room at a time — so a chapter makes a calm bedtime read.
Every book keeps astrology and astronomy clearly side by side: real sky facts are labelled as science, and astrology is shared as a tradition, never as a fact about who a child is.
